The City of Lone Tree City Council has been working on defining the city's Entertainment District (ED) and recently reviewed preliminary proposals and feedback from the business community and residents.

The consultant team of 505 Design and Norris Design gave brief status reports of the Entertainment District Revisioning process at the July Council Meeting.

Some of the feedback included confirmation that most people do not recognize the ED as an entertainment district and most people also agree that the focus for revitalization should not be to further develop the ED brand.  Most believe the ED should become a more family friendly destination. The current size and scale discourages walking and there are no identifiable features that would indicate where it is located.

Development ideas include an ice skating/roller skating rink, events plaza, traffic signal, unique shops and restaurants, clothing store, ping pong bar and kids fun center (such as a Boondocks.)

The ED has strong anchor tenants such as United Artists Theaters, Brunswick Lanes, Park Meadows Mall, RidgeGate and other shopping destinations.  It will be interesting to see what the City of Lone Tree does with this study to further enhance and define our Entertainment District.
