A new traffic signal is being installed at the intersection of Crooked Stick Trail and RidgeGate Parkway. This signal will provide a safer crossing area for bicyclists and pedestrians. The intersection has had stop signs controlling traffic until now.
During the week of July 20th, the mast arms and signal heads will be installed. The signal heads will be covered as the contractor continues work on the wiring for the signals.
Once the wiring is complete, the signal will turn on and flash for 48 hours. This is so residents can get used to the new signal being on.
After 48 hours, the signal will function normally. Also, the pavement for the crosswalks will be installed at that time.
During the next phase, Crooked Stick Trail will be milled and overlaid from RidgeGate Parkway to 140-feet south of Bluffmont Drive. There will be a detour in place during the performance of this work. There will be no access restrictions to Bluffs Regional Park during this time.
