The holiday season is now in full swing and the city of Lone Tree has a lot going on. They will celebrate with the lighting of the City Holiday Tree for the season and join many of the community partners in the bringing the holiday spirit to Lone Tree. 

Friday, November 30th, 2018:

Tree lighting at the Lone Tree Arts Center 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Come out to enjoy Christmas carols ad other favorites from On the Rocks, a hot cocoa bar and s'more roasting hosted by the Lone Tree Arts Center Guild, fun giveaways and of course the Big Guy himself and his reindeer. Join Mayor Jacqueline A Millet and members of the City Council in kicking off the holiday season with remarks and the lighting of the tree starting at 6:30 PM. Entry is free. 

Story Time and Crafts at the Douglas County Library 6:00- 7:30 p.m.

Listen to some of your favorite holiday stories and make a fun holiday craft while snacking on candy canes and cider. Stories will be read at 6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Entry is free. 

Cookie Decorating and Christmas Card Making at MorningStar Senior Living RidgeGate 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Sing along to Christmas carols while decorating cookies and making Christmas cards for the seniors in the memory care unit. Entry is free. The Lone Tree Arts Center North Parking lot will be closed for the event, Target Parking Garage and the Douglas County Library for all Friday evening events. 

Saturday, December 1st, 2018:

2nd Annual Schweiger Ranch Austrian Christmas and Christkindl Market 1:00- 6:00 p.m. 

Experience an authentic Austrian Christmas at Schweiger Ranch while enjoying the stunning holiday light display, Santa and his reindeer, the Holiday Tree lighting, and authentic Austrian food, beverages and entertainment. Entry and parking is free. Food and beverages a la carte.  

A Storybook Holiday: The Polar Express presented by Douglas County Libraries 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Join Douglas County Libraries as they magically transform the Lone Tree location into the North Pole on this exciting evening celebrating the Polar Express! There will be a visit with Santa, live performances of Polar Express characters, music and entertainment.  There will be make-and-take hot cocoa concoction at their Naughty or Nice Cocoa Bar, and enjoy other beverages.
