According to Weiss Residential Research, 23.4% of homes in the US have depreciated in the past year. That is three times as many as the year before! However, this does not seem to be a trend in the Denver metro area. In general, 56.8% of US homes have appreciated the annual rate of 1.5% in July. This is a downward trend, since a year earlier in 2014 that percentage was 65.2%. In the Denver metro area, 9 out of 10 homes are still appreciating. Fort Collings is the fourth best in a national ranking with 86.5% of homes appreciating 1.5% or more.
