Area mayors in the greater Denver area are determined to help Colorado residents to find a home. Metro Mayor Caucus has launched the “Landlord Incentive Program” which will support landlords that are willing to rent to residents with housing vouchers. The program is administered by the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative. Landlords can get up to $1,000 to help cover costs associated with vacancies, damages, and any repairs that might occur while the tenant is in a binding lease agreement. Mayors are hoping to create housing opportunities for people that usually would not be able to rent.
