Kentwood Real Estate just released the luxury home statistics for February 2013 and 2013 million dollar home sales continue to outpace 2012.  Through February 2013, buyers purchased $80,086,311 in single-family Million Dollar properties comprised of 57 transactions compared to $70,327,788 in sales and 48 transactions in 2012. This resulted in an increase of 19% in transactions and an increase of 14% in volume respectively. Year-to-date in 2013 the highest sold property was $4,100,000 (January) which is 21% more than the 2012 highest priced sale of $ 3,400,000 (January). The number of days on the market is now 9% less at 231 days versus 253 days in 2012.

The luxury home market is rapidly becoming active this year in pace with the overall market that reports inventory levels in the metropolitan area below 7,000 units - a 35-year low!  In fact there are 17 available listings over $30,000,000 in Aspen/Snowmass alone! And we all thought this kind of luxury existed only in California! Not anymore!

Kentwood Real Estate Brokers have closed over $166,000,000 in sales volume year to date.  That is a 40% increase over 2012. Feeling a sense of urgency to sell or buy a home?  It is time to call J. Garland Thurman at 303-880-2884.
