Lone Tree and Parker have united forces in finding an emergency coordinator for both cities. Rose Lynch is going to take on this new position with the official title “Emergency Preparedness Coordinator” that was posted at a salary between $53,100 and $65,000. Her responsibilities will be to coordinate emergency management programs on a day-to-day basis. This consists of developing, coordinating, and implementing emergency operation plans and operating procedures as well as developing educational and community outreach programs.

Lone Tree Mayor Jim Gunning says this position was necessary to be better prepared in case of natural or man-made disasters. It will also be easier to execute emergency programs if relationships with organizations like the Red Cross are already established.

Lynch will also be working with Douglas County to align the two city’s emergency strategies. This is another example of the great relationship that the city of Lone Tree and Parker have. Other partnerships include the emergency dispatch, evidence management, crime analysis, victim services, and crime scene processing.
