The construction industry is adding tons of new jobs to the Denver-area economy.  According to the General Association of Contractors of America, 8,300 jobs have been added in the past year, the second highest market for new construction jobs in the country.  New York came in first with 9,200 added jobs.

This is great news for Colorado, as nearly 101,000 people moved here in the 12 months through July 1, 2015, according to estimates from the Census Bureau.

The state demography office estimates that Colorado gained 45, 300 new households in 2015, 25,000 of which were new housing units.
