It may not come as a surprise to the residents but the real estate market in Lone Tree is getting hot. Housing in Lone Tree has some of the highest prices in the metro region. Currently the median sales price for a single-family home lies at $705,000. Rents are also getting higher. Office rents in Lone Tree run for $27 per square foot and a two bedroom apartment goes for $1,620 which is the second highest price for rent in the state.

Mayor Jeff Holwell is sure these figures are on the rise due to new amenities the city plans to add. These include the redevelopment of the entertainment district to make it more walkable, more bike lanes, the new leaf-design pedestrian bridge, and the RTD southeast light rail extension. Expanding the Charles Schwab campus should also increase the property prices by a fair amount.
