Ben Miller from the Denver Business Journal reports that things have changed, however, and Denver had to give up first place to Seattle in the fall report and is now in 9th place. Other hot housing markets include Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Orlando, Palm Beach County, Florida, and Portland, Oregon. A big factor in this change, according to, are the low oil prices that have a negative impact on energy-dependent markets.
